Man using BresoDx® device as he sleeps
Toronto Rehab is currently running a study to see how common sleep apnea is in Canadian long-haul truck drivers. We are also interested in whether drivers with sleep apnea are more likely to be involved in motor vehicle accidents.
All study participants will be given a BresoDx® device to use at home while they sleep. BresoDx® is a sleep apnea diagnostic device consisting of a small frame that records a person's breath sounds and head movements while he/she sleeps (see bottom image).
After using the BresoDx® for one night, participants will remove and mail in the device's SD card. Once this SD card is received, the participant will receive compensation by mail.
ALL RESULTS WILL BE KEPT STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL.

Driver participation is 100% voluntary and participants can withdraw from the study at any time.
